Dr. Randy Borum is a Professor in the Department of Mental Health Law & Policy at the Louis de la Parte Florida Mental Health Institute, University of South Florida  where he also holds appointments in the Department of Criminology and the College of Public Health.  He is a licensed psychologist and is Board-Certified (ABPP) and fellowship-trained in Forensic Psychology. He regularly conducts risk assessment training and is author/ co-author of more than 100 publications including ‘Assessing and Managing Violence Risk in Juveniles‘ with Dr. David Verhaagen. He has previously served as sworn police officer and served for more than a decade as a Senior Consultant to the U.S. Secret Service in the National Threat Assessment Center.  He is an advisory Board Member for the FBI’s Behavioral Science Unit, and Senior Research Scientist in The James and Jennifer Harrell Center for the Study of Family Violence.  He is Past-President of the American Academy of Forensic Psychology.

Patrick A. Bartel, Ph.D. practises forensic clinical psychology in Vancouver, Canada.  He is a Senior Psychologist at Youth Forensic Psychiatric Services of British Columbia where he conducts court-ordered assessments with adolescent offenders and is responsible for program development and evaluation.   Dr. Bartel has developed expertise in the area of assessment and management of risk for violence and sexual violence with children and adolescents. He is actively involved in applied clinical research, has presented workshops and papers at numerous international conferences and provides training to mental health and correctional professionals.  He has both consulted and conducted risk/threat assessments for several school districts.  Dr. Bartel also operates a private practice in Vancouver and provides therapy and assessments to people with a variety of mental health concerns.  He offers clinical and research supervision to graduate students and is a Clinical Associate of the Department of Psychology at Simon Fraser University.  He is registered with the College of Psychologists of British Columbia.

Dr. Adelle Forth is Professor of Psychology at Carleton University in Ottowa, Ontario. She has extensive training and experiencein forensic psychology and is the senior author of the Hare Psychopathy Checklist: Youth Version. Dr. Forth has written extensively on the assessment and correlates of psychopathy.
